Community protest to keep NSW free from uranium exploration

Tuesday, November 13, 2012 - 11:00pm to Wednesday, November 14, 2012 - 12:00am

From November 13, NSW Resources Minister Chris Hartcher can choose to allow applications for uranium exploration from mining companies.

There is currently no uranium mining or exploration in NSW: come along to a lunchtime protest outside Parliament House to tell Chris Hartcher you want it to stay that way.

Uranium exploration and mining presents risks to workers, local communities and the environment, and will leave a lasting radioactive legacy for future generations.
