Raffle selling fast
Dear Jura friends and supporters
The Save Jura raffle has been selling fast, and our debt has gone down from $15,000 to $10,000! This is a fantastic effort built on the donations and volunteer work of so many people. We've been selling entries at our workplaces, our universities and at our local pubs! Every ticket we sell helps to save Jura - thank you to everyone who has bought one or more. Special thanks to all the supporters and friends who've volunteered to sell a book of raffle tickets, and to the particularly generous CS ($200), AV ($100), AW ($100), MP ($200), RK ($500), JK ($500), KP ($100), NM ($100), AO ($100), TP ($100) HS ($100), and CP ($100).
We also received one amazing donation of $2,500 from Simon Wood! Simon has been a supporter of Jura and other left-wing projects for about 10 years; he writes 'I'm giving that amount because I'd like to inspire others to give more than they might otherwise give.' (And he wouldn't accept any raffle tickets.) Thanks Simon - you've definitely inspired us in the collective to keep up the struggle!
The special thing about these donations is that they come from a whole range of people - young and old, workers and students, women and men. None of these people are rich, but they are all willing to chip in to keep alive the hope of a radically different world that we are all fighting for.
If you are able to buy some raffle tickets, please do so! There are great prizes, including a rare artwork valued at $700, $860 worth of books, a weekend away in Byron, vegan cupcakes and pies, organic food vouchers and more (for a picture of the artwork and full details go to http://www.jura.org.au/savejura).
BUYING ENTRIES IS EASY:
---> 2 entries $10.00
---> 5 entries for $20.00
---> 20 entries for $50.00
---> 40 entries $80.00
---> 60 entries $100.00
---> 130 entries $200.00
---> Use your own internet banking and transfer directly into our bank account. (Please send us an email afterwards to let us know that you've done this, and include your name and postal address. We will send you the appropriate number of entries as listed above). This payment method allows us to avoid fees and maximise your donation.

--->Or come in to the shop and buy tickets in person, at one of the events below...
If you can sell a book of raffle tickets to your friends and family please let us know - we'll post you one. It's a great opportunity to talk to people about radical politics who you wouldn't normally approach.
